Start off your day at the world famous floating market of ”Damnern Saduak”, which is located about 100 km southwest of Bangkok, just off the longest and straightest canal in Thailand; the Damnoen Saduak.

If you are looking to try a new experience, this is definitely for you. Thailand has countless floating markets throughout the country, many of which are within a couple of hours of the capital.

You will see thee colourfully clad merchants at these lively markets paddle along the congested canals in sturdy canoes brimming with fresh fruits and vegetables to sell to shoppers on the banks.

There is definitely a lot of chatter and activity happening and bargaining is not uncommon – but that’s half of the fun! Just don’t expect to get the price down more than a few baht. Apart from the fresh fruits and vegetables, you can also find flowers to everyday necessities, leaving nothing to be desired.
