Lake Chini is one of the only two natural lakes in Peninsula Malaysia, both of which are located in Pahang. Nestled majestically in lush hilly surroundings, Lake Chini is the second largest natural lake in the country and is made up of a series of 12 lakes. The lake is well-known for its folktales and mythology and these attract many visitors from various destinations. Legend has it that a dragon lives in the lake and is the guardian of a lost city of gold, which was once situated at the lake.

Enjoy a boat ride through the river, shaded by forest canopy. The lotus and the water lilies will greet you once you reach the lake. On the banks of the lake, lives the Jakun tribe, the aboriginal people of the area. Visit their settlement and learn their way of life and skills of using the blowpipe – a traditional weapon used for hunting
